I am a highly trained and experienced Paleoecologist and Archaeobotanist, with expertise in environmental archaeological methods and biological anthropology, including analysis of botanical and environmental materials (both recent and archaeological), zoological, and human remains.

  • Scope & design of ecological & paleoecological/archaeobotanical surveys & all associated desktop-based assessments & reports;
  • GIS mapping & analytics, particularly for environmental datasets;
  • Macrobotanical sampling, identification & analysis. I perform the practical, hands-on aspects of soil sampling, flotation, sorting, identifying, quantifying & reporting archaeobotanical macro-remains. Primary training based on the major Old World seed crops, including Near East/European, South East Asian & African taxa;
  • Archaeological material & contexts (archaeological finds, graveyard recording, historical site recording, settlement patterns);
  • Bioarchaeological analysis of osteological remains- aging, sexing & characterization of human remains, including sampling, identification, interpretation, transport, import/export and storage of bioarchaeological remains;
